What is the smoothie challenge, why should you try it for yourself?
Well if you’re like me you probably struggle to take off that excess weight, let alone find the time to hit the gym between work, and all the other struggles life brings as you crunch time to make it all work. but let’s be honest, conventional dieting sucks; and is highly time consuming with the amount of prep that goes into it. So here is one of many ways to make dieting Fun that I personally have tested for myself and recommend to anyone looking for a simple, quick and easy way to improve their health and change their life. Smoothie’s are an easy, fun and ingenious way to better health and better you let alone save you precious time better spent not stuck in the kitchen. It takes the healthy aspect of dieting and ad’s the fun of flavor and variety to help you managing your health unlike the conventional basic salad without the dressing. My personal favorites are green smoothies:leafy green veggies, fruit and water or if you need a kick greek yogurt and chia seed(optional). Green smoothies are filling, healthy and you will enjoy drinking them. Your body will also thank you for drinking them. You can expect to increase your energy levels, reduce cravings, clear your mind, and improve your digestion, by aiding your microbial gut health and therefore improves your overall health. It is an experience that could change your life and shed a few pounds if you stick with it!
Why the Green’s?
Dark leafy greens are nutritional powerhouses. Greens like kale and spinach are packed with tons of nutrients you body needs to boost immunity and keep your organs in tip top shape. Greens contain vitamins A, C, and K plus folate, potassium and calcium. In fact, did you know that greens like spinach have protein, too? they also have chlorophyll,a special sauce nutrient you MUST have in your diet! Chlorophyll feeds your cells and helps balance out your pH level within the blood. In other words, chlorophyll eases inflammation. Inflammation causes pain and chronic disease, so pumping the green stuff is crucial to your health. Also, if you are active, or an athlete, you will get faster and recover quicker due to the chlorophyll magic. The green benefits are endless:

· fewer cravings for unhealthy foods (most notably sugar)

Benefits of Greek yogurt
According to Yogurt Nutrition Greek yogurt is filled with Vitamin B12, it is high in potassium and low in sodium, rich in calcium and has a thicker consistency than normal yogurt. “Greek yogurt is made by separating out the liquid whey”
Benefits of Chia seeds
According to Healthline 2 T of chia seeds contains:
- Fiber: 11 grams.
- Protein: 4 grams.
- Fat: 9 grams (5 of which are Omega-3s).
- Calcium: 18% of the RDA.
- Manganese: 30% of the RDA.
- Magnesium: 30% of the RDA.
- Phosphorus: 27% of the RDA.
- They also contain a decent amount of Zinc, Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Potassium, Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), and Vitamin B2.
My Personal Experience
At one point in my life I reached the point of being morbidly overweight and was horribly outta shape, Exercise was an extreme challenge, even just walking had become a daily struggle. That is when I realized I needed to make some serious changes with my life. Within the first year of changing my diet and finding fun intuitive ways to do it. I lost 80 lbs of pure fat from cutting out sugary beverages and junk foods alone, and replacing them with satisfying yet incredibly healthy alternatives. Now I am in the best shape of my life and want to encourage others to change the way they think about dieting.
